Designer : cécilia bonstromambiance : the house of zadig & voltaire chose to show for the first time in new york, in the chelsea district in the heart of manhattan to celebrate its 20 years and to conquer new markets. silhouette : the cool, rock, urban woman. for next season, knitwear is honored with large jumpers to wear with biker trousers or light dresses. the trouser suit is worn with shocking pink. the lightness of the lingerie like these night dresses worn directly on jeans, counterbalanced by a military touch. the men’s is equally present, with a relaxed attitude, imprinted with sportswear to note : the “muse” jumper+ a lot of top models present, from jamie bochert to sasha pivovarova and of course bella hadid, zadig & voltaire’s new muse. interview with cécilia bonstrom : zadig & voltaire in new york is a big moment, it’s a choice, a decision, we are a french house but because we are also a contemporary house i wanted to steal the new york energy, this youth and a bit of it’s sporty-chic nonchalance which looks like our universe, so that’s why we chose it and we also want an international visibility. our vision of women’s fashion pleases and still continues, and for me it’s amazing to celebrate our 20 years in 2017.we really worked the knit and in order to surprise you with new techniques, new knitwear, prints, jacquards, and especially on the volumes proposed on the lingerie, everything is a lot more worked, we play with superposition, as that has always been in the women’s zadig & voltaire silhouette, so it’s the true heritage but reinforced, zadig & voltaire is astonishing, it’s a house which breathes the rock attitude, at the same time it's not that literal, black etc….it’s a lot more subtle than that, it’s this freedom, this nonchalance, this way we dress women how they want to be dressed, and basically we are rock, we are also allowing colour. i wanted a very young, very real ambiance, i wanted it to reflect reality and what zadig & voltaire stands for, we started the casting and all the girls wanted to do it, it is an event, it is the first time that zadig & voltaire has shown here, there is a real excitement this time with bella hadid who is the face of the campaign.music from the show (only to be used in the context of the show, protected by the right to information.)
