A shorter schedule, but nevertheless, 3 days of intense shows in milan. italian menswear fashion revealed the big trends for next summer alongside the affirmation that the classic suit no longer exists. ermenegildo zegna, specialist in suit textiles, unveiled a wardrobe comprising a good dose of sportswear. idem for fendi invents the ‘skype look’: for the new businessmen, with a formal top and casual bottom.(interview silvia venturini fendi)at marni, classic codes of men’s dress were as equally turned upside down!in support of this new elegance, beachwear sliders, sandals and trainers dethrone the moccasin which increasingly becomes a thing of the past!in milan, the concept of the seasons seems no longer important, with fabrics normally reserved for winter being worn in the midst of summer! we saw fur at fendi, as well as velvet at salvatore ferragamo! as for moncler, even the decoration channelled this reversal, with snow and lush palm trees sharing the same runway!we also note a rejuvenation of collections with a new credo: the millennials, who are the new clients to cater to! dolce & gabbana even used them to model their latest designs!another standout moment of this fashion week was the spectacular collection shown by philipp plein: the king of excess didn’t skimp on the means of showcasing his brand, with his flamboyant success and his taste for … sport!(interview philipp plein)note the mixed collections: diesel, damir doma, and dsquared, who chose to show their womenswear and menswear line during the same show, for greater cohesion as well as a reduction of costs…with the absence of certain big names, other brands put themselves in the limelight to renew this week’s italian men’s fashion!interview silvia venturini fendi: all of that was a reflection of the way we dress ourselves for the workplace. that's why i called it the "fendi friday" collection. that’s what it’s like today; it can be friday every day of the week, and this shown by the way we dress.interview philipp plein: sport is sexy because sport makes you feel sexy, makes you become sexy, and i heard, and i think it’s true, that when you do a lot of sports you have more fun with sex.music in the public domaine: bandit & nikit
