Designer: Alessandro Dell’AcquaInspiration: The Italian designer continues his research on Rochas and this season explores the brand’s couture spirit surrounding volume.Collection: An understated elegance, a confident silhouette and a play on volumes with textures brought to life, detailed backs, trapeze shapes and rounded sleeves. Suits in curly wool and hems embroidered with resin fringes open the show underlining a certain power. Models wearing black are adorned with multiple details of embroideries, feathers, and more precisely feathered wool that decorates a dress. Very couture materials such as organza and Chantilly lace further reinforce the idea of sophistication, modernised through subtle colours like camel, burgundy and blue or in a powder pink seen on the last dress that closes the show.Note: Stephen Jones was invited to make his resin hats this season.Interview with Alessandro Dell’Acqua:For me it’s very important this season the material and the volume, its super important for me, it’s the very DNA of Rochas, it’s the lace the black and white tweed, the feathers, the organza, it’s all the situation in Rochas, heritage Rochas. But for me it’s very important the attitude super modern and for Rochas it’s the very luxury brand, I wanted the materials sophisticated super luxury and the attitude super modern. It’s super Rochas the flowers and the duchesse, but I want just to touch the romanticism situation because Rochas is always the romantic woman.Music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
